Love Island ‘lines up’ party boy James Price who’s tried to woo Lucie Donlan

Love Island bosses have reportedly lined up Chelsea party boy James Price for the new series.

The 23-year-old recruitment consultant has previously tried to hook up with former Love Island star Lucie Dolan prior to her finding fame on the hit ITV show.

Lucie is currently in a long-term relationship with boyfriend Luke Mabbott, who also starred in the same series of the show, the last since the coronavirus lockdown.

And although ITV2 bosses refused to comment on their rumoured target, it is reported James is being lined up as one of the boys to ruffle feathers in the villa when the show makes it’s hugely-anticipated return.

“James is in final talks with producers and they're really keen on signing him this year,” a source told MailOnline.

“He's cheeky, fun and handsome – and will be a sure-fire hit with the female contestants, while he's also on the lookout for his dream girl. Lucie Donlan is his type on paper, he's even tried to pursue her in the past.

“While James is from Worcester, his group of friends reside in Fulham and he spent a lot of time before the pandemic partying in Chelsea.”

An ITV2 spokesperson stressed that “no decisions” had been made for this year’s line-up of hot singletons.

Earlier this week it was reported that aerial dancer Alexi Bailey had also been pencilled in for the villa.

The former Miss Manchester pageant winner is one of Wayne Lineker ’s Dream Dolls in Ibiza.

A source told The Sun: “She loves sex and is always talking about it. She’s very open about it but is incredibly likeable and loves to party.

“There are no limits as far as she is concerned and she very much wears her heart on her sleeve. It’s fair to say she will bring some heat to the villa.”

  • Love Island reportedly signs Nigel Benn's son Harley as show returns to sunny Majorca

Harley Benn, son of the legendary boxer Nigel, has also been rumoured as a target for ITV2 bosses as they look to soon finalise the contestants for the next instalment of the incredibly popular show.

The last Love Island winners were Paige Turley and Finley Tapp who, having scooped the £50,000 top-prize, have stayed together after the show.

They beat runners-up Luke Trotman and Siannise Fudge to the top prize, but there has not been a show since after the Covid outbreak postponed production.

This year’s show is expected to start three weeks later than originally planned at the start of June and will run for a shorter eight-week stint.
