Jane McDonald fans all say the same thing after star replaces Phillip Schofield as British Soap Awards host | The Sun

JANE McDonald is "excited" to be stepping in to host the British Soap Awards, and so are her fans.

The singing sensation shared that hosting the iconic award ceremony was a "dream come true" on social media yesterday, and her fans are here for it.

Jane posted two images yesterday, one of the British Soap Awards logo, and another of her beaming to the camera as she shared how she couldn't "wait to see all our wonderful soap nominees and celebrate all their hard work with them".

In just under 24 hours, the post received 13,000 likes and hundreds of comments sharing support and love for the performer's news.

Ross Adams, who plays Scott Drinkwell in Hollyoaks, said: "Please say you're doing a tune or two for us on the night?! Or even better… a medley!

"I couldn't think of a better host. So excited to see you smash it."
