Strictly sex bomb Nadiya Bychkova wants to waltz her way onto Emmerdale as a barmaid – complete with Yorkshire accent.

The dancer and ex-Playboy model has been tipped for the job by her celebrity partner and BBC presenter Dan Walker.

They have been rehearsing for the show together in a Sheffield community hall which has a bar. And after Dan joked that Nadiya would “make a good Yorkshire barmaid”, she has now started to perfect the northern accent.

He revealed: “One day we were having lunch and Nadiya was standing behind the bar and I said, ‘You would make a good Yorkshire barmaid, why don’t you do an accent?’ She should be offered a part in Emmerdale at the Woolpack.”

Nadiya, puts it on to make Dan giggle during training sessions.

She added: “Emmerdale sounds good to me. People seem to love a Ukrainian Yorkshire accent. It makes Dan laugh every time.”

Meanwhile, the BBC Breakfast host claims Prime Minister Boris “Bozo” Johnson was keen to ask him about his fancy footwork when he appeared on the show recently.

He said: “We had this five-minute gap before our interview and we talked about all things and Strictly was definitely one of them.”

Last night a spokeswoman for Emmerdale said about Nadiya’s soap dream: “There are no current vacancies and with Al Chapman trying to get his hands on the Woolpack she’ll have some tough competition.”

Nadiya first joined the Strictly family in 2017 and she immediately left a lasting impression with the judges and the public after sailing right through to the Quarter Final with EastEnders' Davood Ghadami.

Prior to her time on Strictly she was a two-time World Champion and European Champion in Ballroom and Latin Dance.

While she knows how to work her way around the dance floor, it seems she's also keen on working her way around The Woolpack.
