Residents of the Californian city were left stunned to see a strange craft moving through the night’s sky above the bright lights of LA. The object in question appears to move slowly across the Los Angeles sky, after it was spotted by a group of people on a hilltop.
People who witnessed it immediately jumped to supernatural explanation, with some claiming Earth is being visited by extraterrestrials who are more advanced than humans.
The sighting was made by a man named Eli Moctezuma, who quickly uploaded filmed footage of the supposed UFO to hit Youtube channel Miscellaneous Ventures By Eli Moctezuma.
Mr Moctezuma said: “Black object was seen hovering over the city of Los Angeles.
“Some said UFO, others said its a witch, I’m not sure but one thing is for certain we are not alone.”
The video was quickly picked up by conspiracy theorists, with one claiming it is evidence of an advanced race of aliens.
Prominent UFO hunter Scott C Waring said the object in question is scanning the city as if it is looking for something.
Mr Waring made the claim on his blog UFO Sightings Daily and believes, without evidence, that the craft was reading human emotions with its technology.
The alien hunter said: “Watch as a bunch of guys stop on their bikes on a hilltop and watch a black object pass across the sky. One guy says, ‘hey there’s no lights on that thing’.
“Others asked, ‘What is that?’ But this black object actually slows down and then speeds up again in a zig zag pattern.
“The UFO seems to be looking for something or scanning as many people below as they can.
“Alien tech can scan the human thoughts and emotions, not just scan for technology.
“It’s not a miracle, it’s just an advancement of technology millions of years ahead of our own.”

While there is no official explanation as to what the object might be, there are a number of more plausible options.
For example it could be a man-made aircraft, a bird or even a Chinese lantern.
As one person pointed out in the comment section: “Valid sightings over a city would have more captures and from different angles.”
