Emmerdales Charley Webbs Christmas Day shake-up as star says she ditches roast

A big roast dinner is essential for many on December 25, but not for Emmerdale's Charley Webb and Matthew Wolfenden.

As Charley was getting her home ready for Christmas as she shared snippets of them putting up a tree with gold baubles and a Santa sat in his sleigh, she hopped on Instagram to chat with her followers.

Debbie Dingle actress Charley, 33, did a Q&A with fans on her Instagram Stories and confessed that she has absolutely no plans to do a traditional Christmas meal.

She was asked: "Will you be cooking Christmas dinner?", which saw her immediately write: "Absolutely not.

"Also we have a curry on Christmas Day. I'm not a fan of turkey and we have a roast every Sunday so it makes sense."

Charley and her husband Matthew Wolfenden – who plays David Metcalfe on the ITV soap – have been getting their home ready for Christmas..

The festive fun comes after Charley shared a video with her followers after an argument with Matthew while they were driving.

A disgruntled Matthew asked: “Are you taking a picture or doing a video?”

Charley, who captioned the clip ‘borelord’, replied: “It’s a video. How boring my life is.”

"Please. You wish," replied Charley.

In the next clip – which Charley captioned ‘He. Is. So. Annoying”- she yells: “Because you’ve taken us the wrong way!”

The actress then turned the camera on herself as she explained: “So Matthew is one of those people where he think he’s always right, so I’ll tell him one thing…”

It seems the happy couple love a swift video post – and their fans and co-workers have certainly been enjoying it too.
