With the coronavirus pandemic showing no signs of ending any time soon, face masks have become not just an essential accessory to help slow the spread of COVID-19, but also a stylish mode of self-expression.
Case in point? Ahida Correale’s customizable denim face coverings, a favorite of celebrities including Emma Roberts, Lucy Hale and Julianne Hough.
Made in Los Angeles, Correale’s $30 indigo masks come hand-stitched with a selection of oh-so-2020 phrases ranging from “too close” and “back off” to “stay safe” and “vote.”
But for $45, shoppers can personalize the masks with whatever their hearts desire, from initials or nicknames to hearts and even expletives. Roberts, 29, has been snapped multiple times in an Ahida Correale original that reads “wear it!,” while 32-year-old Hough’s reads “gratitude.”
Meanwhile, “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” actress Stephanie Beatriz repped her Latina heritage with an “hola” mask, and Whitney Port had hers customized with “sonny days” — a nod to her 3-year-old, Sonny.
In other words, there’s no excuse for feeling stifled by your face covering.
