Meghan Markle wears necklace with subtle loving message as she returns to UK for final engagements

Meghan Markle appeared to pay a tribute to her husband Prince Harry with a gorgeous piece of jewellery during a secret trip to London’s National Theatre on Thursday.

The Duchess of Sussex visited the London arts venue earlier in the day on Thursday before an appearance at the Endeavour Fund Awards with her husband that evening.

However, eagle-eyed fans of Meghan have now taken a closer look at her gold pendant necklace to notice that it has a sweet sentimental touch.

The necklace, by designer Sophie Lis, is aptly named the Love Pendant (Gold Surround) and retails at £280.

It features the words: “Qui’hier Que Demain,” which loosely translates to: “Every day I love you more, more than yesterday, less than tomorrow.”

According to the designer: “This pendant is inspired by an extract taken from the poem 'The Eternal Song' by 19th century French poet Rosemonde Gerard.”

The jewellery could be a reference to Harry, or the pair’s baby son Archie, who is currently in Canada as the pair finish their final engagements in the UK as part of senior members of the royal family.

The necklace wasn’t the only part of Meghan’s outfit to catch eyes during her theatre trip, as the Duchess also sported a £29 top from high-street retailer Topshop.

The ivory organza sleeve button through blouse is also available in black, pink and blue, but is currently only available in sizes six and eight on the retailer's website.
