Soccer Saturday star Jeff Stelling, 66, has left his fans concerned after he shared a picture of his hand in a cast. The broadcaster hasn’t shared much about what happen as his followers sent their well wishes.
Jeff is well-known as sports broadcaster as well as his many other presenting gigs.
However, it seems the star is a little worse for wear after sharing a snap of his hand in a cast.
Posting on Twitter earlier today, he was seen smiling as his hand was wrapped in a cast.
Alongside the pic, Jeff penned: “You ought to see the state of the other guy !!”
However, so far, Jeff has not elaborated on what happened to his hand.
Following his post, many of his 173,000 followers have shared their concern.
Richard Chapman penned: “Seriously hope your ok, still haven’t got over your retirement announcement – take care.”
Justin Foote added: “Didn’t you have something done similar a couple of years ago Jeff? Apart from the hand, hope all is well.”
Andy M wrote: “Wow what happened Jeff? Hope your ok!”
A fourth fan named Gill replied: “What have you done!
“Unbelievable pal! I hope it heals soon.”
“Walk two dozen marathons with not a blister in sight,” added Neil West.
“One attempt at DIY and you do this ….”
Jeff recently announced his retirement from Soccer Saturday after 27 years on the show.
He’ll be leaving the series at the end of the season.
The Hartlepool-born star confirmed the news at the end of October in a statement on air.
He said: “I have loved every moment of my 30 years with Sky, but like every Saturday afternoon the time eventually comes to blow the final whistle.
“I am proud to have been part of such a winning team for so long and look forward to the many more special moments on Soccer Saturday for rest of this season.
“And perhaps even another promotion push from Hartlepool United.”
Jeff had helmed the show just two years after it started, joining in 1994.
So far, his replacement as anchor has not been confirmed.
