Ivanka Trump’s First Tweet Since Donald Left Office Has People Talking

Since President Joe Biden’s 2021 Inauguration Day in January, former President Donald Trump’s eldest daughter, Ivanka Trump, has stayed silent on both Twitter and Instagram. Prior to her social media hiatus, the businesswoman used her platforms to campaign for her dad’s re-election, as well as keep Americans up to date on her work as his senior advisor.

When the COVID-19 pandemic rocked the nation in March 2020, Ivanka did her part to help out. In May, she shared photos while helping farmers launch a $3 billion initiative to “ensure that food that might have gone to waste will now go to those in need.” She also helped deliver “20 million boxes of fresh fruit, veggies, meat, and dairy to families in need” in June.

But because of her father’s less-than-concerned approach to the rapid coronavirus outbreak, many wondered how Ivanka truly felt about the severity of COVID-19, as well as how eager she would be to take the vaccine. Ivanka held off from being vocal like Donald, but it didn’t help when she decried the U.S.’ strict regulations in December.

“These blanket lockdowns are not grounded in science,” she tweeted. “These arbitrary rules imposed by callous politicians are destroying lives. It is just wrong for small business owners to have fight so hard to keep their American dream alive.”

Now, Ivanka has returned to social media, and her latest message already has people talking. Keep scrolling to find out what Ivanka had to say.

Ivanka Trump reveals she got the COVID-19 vaccine

Ivanka Trump ended her nearly two-month social media hiatus to announce she received the COVID-19 vaccine. The daughter of Donald Trump shared the news on both Twitter and Instagram, and she also posted a photo while receiving her first dose.

“Today, I got the shot!!! I hope that you do too!” Ivanka penned on her social media platforms on April 14, 2021. “Thank you Nurse Torres!!!” Though the former senior advisor was more than thrilled to reveal the exciting news, Ivanka’s announcement wasn’t met with the greatest reaction. On Twitter, fans accused Ivanka of not taking COVID-19 seriously from the start.

“WHAT?! Your daddy said Covid is a hoax — why get a shot for a hoax Vanky?” one Twitter user wrote, while another echoed, “So great! Remember when your family called it a ‘hoax’ and intentionally let it spread so you could ‘blame blue states’ and now nearly a million Americans are dead? Good times.”

Going back to September 2020, Ivanka revealed she was actually more than happy to get the vaccine. When Joy Behar challenged Ivanka to get the shot during an episode of The View, she responded on Twitter. “Deal @JoyVBehar,” Ivanka wrote. “I would come on your show to do so. I trust the FDA and so should all Americans. Vanquishing this virus should be our collective top priority.”

While Ivanka has yet to say anything more about COVID, but it’s only a matter of time before she shares a new update on social media.
