Britney Spears fans were left concerned on Tuesday, 14 September, after learning that the global superstar’s Instagram account had been deleted.

After posting some provocative photos of herself right up until the page’s deletion, speculation arose that Britney had been banned from Instagram in a breach of its content regulations.

However, Britney has reassured her followers that all is well, as she took to her Twitter page to address the real reason she deleted her Instagram.

She wrote: “Don’t worry folks … just taking a little break from social media to celebrate my engagement!!!!

"I’ll be back soon”, she added, along with an engagement ring emoji followed by a winking face.

Britney is in high spirits after recently becoming engaged to Sam Asghari.

She confirmed the news on Sunday, posting a video of herself standing beside Sam holding up her engagement ring finger.

Her boyfriend of five years finally proposed, much to Britney’s delight, as she flaunted her impressive new jewellery, stating to her 34 million followers that she “can’t f**king believe it”.

It appears after enduring such a strenuous situation with her conservatorship, Britney is finally enjoying her life and the freedom that is hopefully on the horizon soon, as a source reported to Page Six.

“She’s happy and in a great place,” the insider told the publication, going on to say that Britney’s silence in relation to her conservatorship battle will bring forth “a powerful message”.

In recent months, Britney has continued to open up to her fans about living under such tight restrictions through her conservatorship for the past 13 years.

During this time, she has attended court on several occasions requesting for the restrictive conservatorship to be lifted.

Currently, her father, Jamie Spears, has filed papers to the Los Angeles Court petitioning to end Britney’s conservatorship, showcasing possible promise that the star will find her freedom sooner rather than later.

In the meantime, Britney is spending quality moments with her fiancé Sam away from Instagram, enjoying her engagement which was met with great delight from fans and famous friends when the news was revealed days ago.

"Congratulations love!! [heart eye emoji] So happy for you! Welcome to the club!" said Paris Hilton, and Paula Abdul added: "CONGRATULATIONS SWEETHEART" followed by a heart emoji and kissing emoji.

"CONGRATS!!!!!!! GET A PRE NUP! WE LOVE YOU!!!!!", one follower commented, while another wrote: “You deserve ALL of this, queen.”
