Ariana Grande sends love to Manchester bombing victims ahead of 3rd anniversary

Ariana Grande has sent love to the victims of the Manchester Arena bombing, ahead of the third anniversary of the tragedy.

On 22 May 2017, 22 were killed and hundreds injured when a terrorist detonated a bomb in the foyer of Manchester Arena, where Ariana had been performing.

In an Instagram story ahead of tomorrow’s anniversary, the Stuck With U singer wrote a sweet message to those affected by the terror attack.

The 26-year-old wrote: ‘I want to take a moment to acknowledge and send my love to everyone that is feeling the sadness and tremendous heaviness coming up this week.

‘Not a day goes by that this doesn’t affect u and all of us still. I will be thinking of u all week and weekend.

‘My heart, thoughts, prayers are with u always.’

Ariana added a black heart and a bee emoji – a symbol of Manchester.

The No Tears Left To Cry singer got a bee tattooed behind her ear in tribute to the victims of the terror attack.

Weeks after terrorist Salman Abedi bombed the Arena, Ariana returned to Manchester for the benefit concert One Love Manchester, which saw stars including Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, Coldplay, Little Mix, Liam Gallagher and Pharrell Williams perform.

The emotional concert raised over £10 million for the British Red Cross.

Ariana – who was made an honorary citizen of Manchester – then returned to the city for the first time in two years last summer, when she headlined Manchester Pride.

Previously speaking to Vogue, the popstar revealed she had been diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder following the attack.

She said: ‘It’s hard to talk about because so many people have suffered such severe, tremendous loss. But, yeah, it’s a real thing.

‘I know those families and my fans, and everyone there experienced a tremendous amount of it as well.

‘Time is the biggest thing. I feel like I shouldn’t even be talking about my own experience – like I shouldn’t even say anything. I don’t think I’ll ever know how to talk about it and not cry.’
